Laser technology, in combination with state-of-the-art electronics and mathematics, lead to a revolutionary new method for CO2 determination in bottled carbonated waters, lemonades, beer, cider, sparkling wines and champagne.

No piercing of package is required, therefore no change of physical system „bottle“ emerges.

Only ACM direct CO2 content measurement in the closed bottle provides you with the very true CO2 content of your package!

The accurate measurement and compliance of CO2-content in beer, mineral water, soft drinks and other carbonated drinks is an important aspect of their monitoring. Depending on the kind of drink, carbon dioxide affects taste and flavor and is used as preservative in alcoholic drinks.

By the use of state-of-the-art laser technology ACM succeeded in the selective determination of CO2 directly in the bottle. The bottle can be put back to the production run immediately after measurement, because there is no kind of mechanical damage.

A laser beam is lead through the upper part of the bottle and captured by an optical receiver unit. Because of selective evaluation of the wave length there is a direct measurement of the dissolved gas. A temperature encoded light beam, also based on laser technology, records the temperature,
so that a CO2 value compensated to 20°C is determined.

This new method is an extremely modern, very fast and accurate way of determining the CO2- value in the laboratory. The very fast measuring
time of less than 1 minute in total leads to a much higher number of measuring cycles. Especially in the long-term store always the same bottle can
be used for measurements, so the storage efforts can be minimized.

In any case, with this method cost and time saving are huge. PET bottle type, bottle size and construction, thickness and other parameters do not affect measuring accuracy, the laser is only adapted to CO2 specific range.
